What it is, and where it sits
Levoit is Vesync's air-treatment brand, and the Vital 200S-P is its mid-size smart model. The US list price is $189.99, which places it a step below the Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max.
Filtration is three stages bonded into a single cartridge: a washable pre-filter, an H13-grade HEPA layer and activated carbon.
That bonding is the most consequential thing about this machine, in both directions.

What it does well
23 decibels in sleep mode, with the display off as well
Sleep mode drops the fan to its lowest step and switches off the display. Both matter in a bedroom, and plenty of purifiers manage only the first.
A glowing air-quality readout on a bedside table is its own sleep problem. This one goes dark.
36 square metres at the air-change rate that counts
That figure assumes 4.8 air changes per hour, the rate allergy guidance actually uses. The box also advertises 1,862 square feet, around 173 square metres.
Ignore the larger number. It assumes a single air change per hour, far too slow to hold pollen down.
One washable stage means one recurring cost, not two
The pre-filter is washable, so the coarse dust and pet hair that would otherwise clog the HEPA layer gets rinsed off instead.
That is what extends the life of the expensive stage. It costs you five minutes with a vacuum every few weeks.

The two drawbacks worth knowing
The bonded filter throws away good HEPA with spent carbon
Carbon saturates in roughly six months. The HEPA layer is usually nowhere near finished by then.
Because they are bonded, you bin both and buy a full cartridge again. Over three years that is where this loses ground to cheaper-to-run rivals.
The sensor needs cleaning, and the app is inconsistent
The air-quality sensor is optical rather than laser, so dust on the lens skews the reading. Plan on wiping it every couple of months.
The VeSync app also draws repeated complaints about dropped connections and slow AQI updates. At top speed the unit measures around 57 dBA, loud enough to interrupt a conversation.

Replacement cartridges cost more than the standard filter if you choose the pet, toxin or smoke version.
Assume two filters a year if odour is part of your reason for buying. That materially changes the two-year cost against a longer-lived filter.

Questions people ask before buying
How often do you really have to change the filter?
Levoit says up to a year. Owners generally report the carbon giving out at around six months, sooner in a kitchen or a home with pets.
The HEPA layer lasts longer, but the bonded design does not let you keep it.
Is it quiet enough to sleep next to?
In sleep mode, yes, at 23 dB with the display off. At the highest fan speed it reaches the mid-50s dBA and is clearly audible.
Most people run it high for an hour, then drop it to sleep mode overnight.
Does H13 HEPA matter compared with ordinary HEPA?
H13 is a European classification requiring at least 99.95% capture at the hardest particle size. Standard HEPA is rated 99.97% at 0.3 microns under a different test.
In practice both perform well. Room size and how long you run the unit matter more than the grade printed on the box.
